Old Bay Getaway

Old Bay Getaway was the perfect home for our annual family week in Cape Charles. Easy access to all of the area attractions and beach. Plenty of space for parents, grandparents and kiddos. We had a great time hanging out on the screened in back porch. It comes equipped with alot of extras toys that the kids and adults alike enjoyed. A week we will not soon forget!

This rental property was very clean. It has top quality amenities and every thing we needed for our stay and more. We had a great time.

My family had a great week at Old Bat Getaway. It is conveniently located, very close to the park, shopping and restaurants and the beach access. The home is very clean and comfortable, has a p fully equipped kitchen, plenty of games and some beach equipment and we all slept great. We will definitely stay again!

This fit the bill as we needed a house with a main level bedroom and space for 4 adults to spread out. Upon arrival we had a clogged toilet. Maintenance quickly responded and fixed it, but then left a muddy wet floor that we had to clean. Same shower is not draining, so you shower in standing water. Multiple crusty dirty plates in the cabinets. Otherwise, a beautiful home in a good location.

My second trip to this house and we love it every time! I look forward to coming next year.

This was our second visit to Old Bay and absolutely love this home! We were there for 2 weeks and hosted my parents, who immediately fell in love with Cape Charles. The house is phenomenal and surpassed all our needs! We cannot wait to come back and make more memories!

What a wonderful week with our family. The house is very comfy and had everything we needed. Love the layout and the kitchen. There was lots of sun and fun this week in Cape Charles. The beach is perfect for the little ones.

Overall I was very satisfied with the property and rental company. The folks at Chesapeake properties were very friendly and responsive. We encountered an issue with the air conditioning units during our stay and a repair crew was quickly dispatched to the property. Unfortunately only one of the units were able to repaired on the spot, leading to some slightly uncomfortable temps upstairs, but that happens sometimes. Old Bay Getaway was in a great location, with off street parking accessed from the alley behind home. The house was nicely furnished and quite comfortable. It could likely easily handle a party double the size of ours (family of 4). We rented a golf cart and there was an extension cord in garage and outdoor outlet from which we could charge when not in use. there was plenty of space in the driveway for our SUV and golf cart. Everything in town was an easy cart ride. The majority of shops and restaurants would also just be a 10-15 minute walk most likely. The house also included several bikes, beach chairs, etc for use which was appreciated and used. Overall I would definitely stay again if we happen to be in the area.

Old Bay Getaway is the perfect "get away" from it all! Nestled in the historic district of Cape Charles, the home is nothing but perfectly updated. Nice open floor plan with an enormous great room on the second floor well stocked with games for the entire family. Once we arrived and parked our car we did not need it again. The beach and the center of the town are just a short walk or bike ride from the house. The shed was stocked with bikes, beach chairs, floats, and a kayak. The downtown had a nice variety of shops and restaurants. The grocery store is a short car ride away for essentials if you prefer to cook. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to do your own cooking. Our favorite thing was sitting on the screened-in porch on the back of the house.

The experience was great. The house was really nice. Clean and recently renovated. Excellent layout and bigger than the pictures depicted. The check in and checkout was really easy and Chesapeake Properties responded to calls very quickly in both answering the phone and getting help when needed. I would highly recommend The Bay Getaway to anyone wanting to stay in Cape Charles and I would rent this property again.

This place is great! Love the front and back porches. The storage shed is loaded with chairs, umbrellas, and other beach toys as well. Short walks to everything. Loved it!

Old Bay Getaway was the best vacation home! Professionally decorated, immaculate, great location, wonderful amenities. There was room for family members to have their own space when desired (screened in back porch, large family room on second floor, front porch, in addition to the bedrooms). Right next to a great park and a quick golf cart ride to the beach, which was beautiful, calm water, and not too crowded. Close to the area with lovely shops and restaurants. The rental agency was helpful and responsive. What a bonus to have access to the shed full of beach chairs, rafts, bikes, fishing poles, a kayak etc - we only had time to use a few things. The kitchen was fully stocked, including spices for cooking. There were lots of books and board games as well. Simply wonderful!
